KIDS’ LETTERS TO GOD
KIDS’ LETTERS TO GOD
Dear God,
Did you mean for the giraffe to look like that or was it an accident?
Norma
Dear God,
Instead of letting people die and having to make new ones, why don’t you
just keep the ones you have now?
Jane
Dear God,
Who draws the lines around the countries?
Nan
Dear God,
I went to this wedding and they kissed right in church. Is that okay?
Neil
Dear God,
Thank you for my baby brother, but what I prayed for was a puppy.
Joyce
Dear God,
It rained for our whole vacation and is my father mad! He said some things
about you that people are not supposed to say, but I hope you will not hurt
him anyway.
Your friend (but I am not going to tell you who I am)
Dear God,
Please send me a pony. I never asked for anything before. You can look it
up.
Bruce
Dear God,
If we come back as something, please don’t let me be Jennifer Horton,
because I hate her.
Denise
Dear God,
I want to be just like my daddy when I get big, but not with so much hair
all over.
Sam
Dear God,
I think about you sometimes, even when I’m not praying.
Elliott
Dear God,
I bet it is very hard for you to love all the people in the world. There are
only four people in our family and I can never do it.
Nan
Dear God,
Of all the people who worked for you, I like Noah and David the best.
Rob
Dear God,
My brothers told me about being born, but it doesn’t sound right. They are
just kidding, aren’t they?
Marsha
Dear God,
If you watch me in church Sunday, I’ll show you my new shoes.
Mickey
Dear God,
We read Thomas Edison made light. But in Sunday school, we learned that you
did it. So I bet he stole your idea.
Sincerely, Donna
Dear God,
I do not think anybody could be a better God. Well, I just want you to know
that I am not just saying this because you are God already.
Charles
Dear God,
I didn’t think orange went with purple until I saw the sunset you made on
Tuesday. That was cool!
Eugene
Dear God,
Maybe Cain and Abel would not kill each other so much if they had their own
rooms. It works with my brother.

stubborn
Stubborn
=========
He is stubborn.
He uses abusive words in both private times and in public.
Please pray for him to become a good and kind human being.
Plus, he is a fussy eater.
The above is an excerpt from a prayer request.
The characteristics described are not unusual for a prayer
request. What was unusual was the age of the male who was the
subject of the prayer request.
He was three.
We can relate to the mother from the U.A.E. (United Arab Emirates)
We have a son who is two and a half and when George doesn’t get
his way, he sounds just like her son.
Pray for us and anyone else who has a child with the same
characteristics.
Also, there are quite a few adults with identical characteristics.
Pray for those who have to deal with them and pray for us for
the times when we are them.

The Horse
==========
This is a true story, and I thought it was a MountainWings
Moment.
When my daughter, Jade Kay, was very young, she wanted a horse
in the worst way.
There was no way we could manage to get her one, and I told her
so. She responded by telling me that Jesus could manage
anything and she was going to ask Him for a horse.
I fretted over her young faith taking a body blow when she
realized her prayer was unanswered.
I should have had more faith. She got up the next morning and
announced that she had asked Jesus to give her a horse.
“Did you darling?” I said, trying to find the right words to
explain that we didn’t always get what we prayed for.
“Yes,” she said, “but He said no.”
She never brought up the subject of a horse again.

What is love?
#8207 Wings Over The Mountains of Life

What Is Love?
==============
A group of professional people posed this question to a group of
4-to 8-year-olds, “What does love mean?” The answers they got
were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined.
“When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn’t bend over and
paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her
all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That’s
love.” (Rebecca – age 8 )
“When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different.
You just know that your name is safe in their mouth.”
(Billy – age 4 )
“Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving
cologne and they go out and smell each other.”
(Karl – age 5 )
“Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your
French fries without making them give you any of theirs.”
(Chrissy – age 6 )
“Love is what makes you smile when you’re tired.”
(Terri – age 4 )
“Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a
sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK.”
(Danny – age 7)
“Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of
kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. My
Mommy and Daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss,”
(Emily – age
“Love is what’s in the room with you at Christmas if you stop
opening presents and listen.” (Bobby – age 7)
“If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a
friend whom you hate.” (Nikka – age 6)
“Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, and then he
wears it everyday.” (Noelle – age 7)
“Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are
still friends even after they know each other so well.”
(Tommy – age 6)
“During my piano recital, I was on a stage and I was scared.
I looked at all the people watching me and saw my daddy waving
and smiling. He was the only one doing that. I wasn’t scared
anymore.” (Cindy – age
“My mommy loves me more than anybody. You don’t see anyone else
kissing me to sleep at night.” (Clare – age 6)
“Love is when Mommy gives Daddy the best piece of chicken.”
(Elaine-age 5)
“Love is when Mommy sees Daddy smelly and sweaty and still says
he is handsomer than Robert Redford.”
(Chris – age 7)
“Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him
alone all day.” (Mary Ann – age 4)
“I know my older sister loves me because she gives me all her
old clothes and has to go out and buy new ones.” (Lauren – age 4)
“When you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and down and
little stars come out of you.”
(Karen – age 7)
“Love is when Mommy sees Daddy on the toilet and she
doesn’t think it’s gross.” (Mark – age 6)
“You really shouldn’t say ‘I love you’ unless you mean it.
But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget.”
(Jessica – age
And the final one to melt anybody’s heart: Author and lecturer
Leo Buscaglia once talked about a contest he was asked to judge.
The purpose of the contest was to find the most caring child.
The winner was a four-year-old child whose next door neighbor
was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife. Upon
seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman’s
yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there. When his Mother
asked him what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said,
“Nothing, I just helped him cry.”
